Responsible for planning and the development of a new business venture for Sony Corporation in electronic component and peripheral manufacture and sales to OEM Computer Companies located throughout the UK and Europe. OEM products portfolio included: -
3 ½"; diskette drives and media
Very high-resolution monitors
CD ROM
Non-volatile memory devices
CCD camera technology
Low noise amplifies
A to D and D to A converters
Products where supplied to OEM manufacturers, research establishments and distributors located in the UK, France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

During my time with Sony Corporation's I was elected as the Corporation's representative and a member of ECMA's directorate, for the ratification of equipment standards to the computer industry.  Also contributing to ISO and ANSI. – (£18.5m, 10 staff reporting).

Major Successes: - During my time with Sony Corporation I was given the responsibility of launching and standardising 3½" diskette drives 3½" media and CD ROM technology within the Computer industry.
   
Personal Note: - I thoroughly enjoyed my employment with Sony Corporation. I found them to be a very professional and supportive company to work for who invested in their employees. My only regret in life was that I left Sony prematurely.
